FALL COURSE ON A REFORMATION STUDY

PREPARED BY THE NORTH CAROLINA SYNOD

Introduction: In “HERE I STAND,” author Roland Bainton had this to say about Luther:

“Very naturally he is a controversial figure. The multitudinous portrayals fall into certain broad types already delineated in his own generation. His followers hailed him as the prophet of the Lord and the deliverer of Germany. His opponents on the Catholic side called him the son of perdition and the demolisher of Christendom. The agrarian agitators (peasants) branded him as the sycophant (lackey) of the princes, and the radical sectaries (other Christian groups) compared him to Moses, who led the children of Israel out of Egypt and left them perish in the wilderness.”

Pastor Ed will offer this course beginning the week of September 10th. He has set aside two times (Wed. mornings at 10:30 a.m. and Thur. evenings at 6:30 p.m.) but he is willing to offer the course at any time 4-5 people can get together. Please check one:
