Additional Info RE Trail Maintenance Project for 9/8/13
More information about the Trail Maintenance Project that we are doing for God's Work Our Hands Sunday on September 8, 2013:
A portion of the Mid-State Trail along Route 164 on the mountain headed south toward Henrietta needs some attention, cleaning debris from the trail, trimming brush and high grass, etc. It is not really difficult work, but maybe some bending and not so much lifting, just some branches limbs, etc.
If we have a lot of hands, the work can get done rather quickly, plus you'll have the opportunity for a hike on the trail. There is an uphill climb, but not too steep, depending on which you walk the trail.
If you are interested in helping, please be at the church parking lot at 1 pm and we'll leave from there and hopefully begin working by 1:30 pm. I suggest you wear long sleeved shirt and long pants, good shoes, bring working gloves. Bring water and trimmers and/or loppers if you have them.
Following our work the Fagans invite everyone to their home for a supper of hamburgers and hot dogs, and whatever else anyone would like to bring. They will provide drinks and table service as well. You might want to bring a lawn chair.
